I’m a Design and User Experience specialist. I craft words, graphics, and information into beautiful, accessible, and effective outcomes.
My contributions often appear in websites and digital products, yet I’m no stranger to physical and time-based media.
I’ve got a thing for solving tricky problems and am at my best when spanning multiple disciplines to achieve holistically integrated outcomes. This makes me especially well-suited to small and medium-sized businesses.
I do my best work at Aveling Ray, a digital agency I operate with my friend Bobby Ray. Our skills are complementary, and as a team we’re better than the sum of our parts.
I live in Hobart, Tasmania, and am a citizen of both Australia and the United States.

User Interface & Graphic Design
I’m educated in Fine Art and possess strengths in composition, color theory and typography. I craft impactful and aesthetically pleasing outcomes in both analog and digital mediums (code included).
Information Architecture & Content Strategy
I love organising content for findability and ease of use. User flows, content taxonomies, and relational logic are my friends. I’m hip to technical SEO, semantic HTML, Open Graph, and Schema best practices too.
Copywriting
I can compose and edit effective, keyword-savvy copy for your website or digital product. I know when to be brief, where to go deep, and how to get the cadence of your communications just right.
eCommerce
I’ve played an important role in the establishment and growth of several eCommerce businesses. My contributions have spanned all of the above, as well as integrations with shipping & fulfillment.

- Site and content redesign for L.A. based social enterprise Would Works (with Aveling Ray).
- Website, branding, and products of my little fermentation side project Southern Wild.
- Live climate-science webcasts from Alaska’s North Slope with The Exploratorium.
- Production of 360° video footage at Texas A&M University with West Office.
